Springfield Model 1868 Trapdoor Rifle in .50-70 caliber with a 33” 2 band barrel, S/N 10436. Good to very good overall condition showing mottled aging on an original arsenal bright metal with crisp marking. The stocksare good with visible cartouche and many dings, mars, dents and scratches consistent with military issue and use. The action and bore are good. The firing pin shows marring and is stock forward and may fire uponjarring or closing action. Needs minor repair by gunsmith before firing. (Antique) Est.: $500-$1000
