Deluxe engraved and cased Smith & Wesson "New Departure" .38 S&W caliber revolver S/N 55743 and made pre-1898. Fine carved and checkered pearl grips with New York scroll style engravings. 5" barrel and retaining90%-95% soft original unpolished nickel with excellent grips. Considerable blue and case colors on small parts. Interior and bore is about fine and tight action. Schuyler, Hartley and Graham style casing with satin in lid and leather covered case. The case is good with minor staining, fraying and some aging. The latch to the box was pried open. An exceptional example of this model. Est.: $2000-$4000

All over-sized, fragile or bulky items are the buyer's responsibility to have a third party shipper pick up and deliver.We do not ship to address' outside the United States.
Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and follow the laws and regulations of their home state regarding firearms. It is the buyer's responsibility to know gun laws in their area.
