Rare original Forsyth patent ignition system shotgun with "Scent bottle" style strikers to ignite fulminate of mercury pellet type pills. Measures 46 1/2" overall with a 30" barrel in 16GA. In its original case withForsyth label in the lid explaining patent with firing information. The barrel shows most of their original brown with striping still strong and double gold bands at the breech. The locks show case colors toning tosilvery gray. The stock is good with some marks and normal wear. The scent bottles are original and numbered to the gun. The case is very good with minor tatters and normal aging. Staining and small losses to thelabel, flask, spring vise, powder dippers and wrench included. The exterior is very good with minor scratches. These were only used a few years and most often they were converted to standard percussion for use. A rareexample. (Antique) Est.: $3500-$7000

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed.
