Wheelock musket with period lock and barrel, 19th century inlaid, probably by Spitzer. Excellent quality lock and barrel, lock mechanism is complete. Very profusely inlaid in classic motifs with figures of beasts,satyres, gargoyles, scrolls, dots and cupids. 90-95% of inlay is intact. These were ornamented in 19th century to decorate the great halls and castles of Europe and this was an expensive artifact 150 years ago. 58" overall, about .40 cal. smooth bore. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed.
