Auction Details
* The first tab shows items that are live auction items and are being previewed as they are available. We are complete at 44 live auction items, and bidding has opened on all items. The second tab is to showcase the silent auction items, and bidding will be only in person during the evening dinner.
** If you have questions, we will try to answer based on the information we have. We encourage you to contact the donor especially if you are serious about purchasing or bidding on an item.
*** For the live auction, it is the winning bidder's responsibility to contact the donor or outfitter within 30 days. If you fail to contact the donor or outfitter within 30 days, they are under no obligation to honour the purchased hunt.
**** 5% GST will be added to the final price for all Canadian items.

SCI Calgary depends on the generosity of the donors to fund our programs. For the organization and these auctions to be sustainable in the long term, the donors need to recover some of their costs and so depend on successful bidders spending above what has been provided in the donation.
Please view the donation provided as the minimum for the trip, and if possible, please add either additional days or more animals and items. Besides, a longer trip is always more memorable than a shorter one, and more animals are better than less.
Also, the donations are provided in good faith, and in our view, it is not acceptable for a bidder to chain together several African donations on the same trip, and then to just hunt the minimum on each. It will be your responsibility and cost if you attempt to chain together several African donations on the same trip and the donor does not honour your purchase. To avoid this situation, we recommend you do not purchase more than one African hunt. Also, some donors do not accept re-gifting of the purchased hunt. If you wish to do so, please discuss this with the donor or outfitter in advance of bidding to ensure that they will honour the purchase.
Lastly, we would encourage you to provide feedback both to the donor and to SCI Calgary on the donation. If you are especially satisfied, please write up a short story on the trip, and we would gladly publish it on the SCI Calgary website BLOG section. This blog provides additional positive exposure for the donor and their business.

WE ARE FIERCE ADVOCATES FOR CANADIAN HUNTERS AND HAVE TAKEN THE ANTI-HUNTERS TO COURT TO CURTAIL THEIR RHETORIC AND ACTIONS AGAINST HUNTERS, ANGLERS, AND TRAPPERS. WE WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP THE PRESSURE ON THE ANTIS WITH OUR UNITED HUNTERS FUND AND EYE ON THE ANTIS CAMPAIGNS.
Bidding is now open on all items. You can either bid through this website, or in person at the dinner. You do not have to register online if you are attending the dinner and want to bid only there. Additional items may be added right up to the time of the auction so please check back. Please ensure that you have reviewed and understand all the Preview Instructions and the Terms and Conditions before you bid. No refunds of any kind!
