Texas: L Ray Calhoun of L&L Adventures is donating a 3-day/2-night Exotics hunt for 2 hunters at the Calhoun Ranch, located deep in the heart of Texas in the Wimberley Valley (a 1-hour drive from Austin or San Antonio). Method of take is hunter’s choice. Included in the donation is a $4,000 trophy fee credit ($1,000 per trophy Exotic, two trophy Exotics per hunter). With endless views of the Texas Hill Country, the Calhoun Ranch offers trophy Whitetail deer and over 30 plus types of Exotics. The 2,000 acre ranch has been in the family for over 150 years and continues to be a historic working cattle ranch. Hunts are done from 6X6 stands or spot-and-stalk. L Ray Calhoun and his guides have been hunting for the past 40 plus years, so they know what it takes to have a successful, fun and safe hunt. L&L Adventures has achieved two trophy Whitetail bucks in the top 10 of SCI record books. The donation includes 3-days of hunting, 2-nights lodging (stay in a 100-year old fully restored cabin, the hunting lodge, or a luxurious teepee), a $2,000 trophy fee credit per hunter (for Exotics), professional guide services (1X1), meals (Exotics and Whitetail Cuisine), transportation during the hunt, and caping/skinning of trophies. Not included in this donation are transportation to Wimberley, a Texas hunting license, taxidermy services, and gratuities. Current trophy price list is posted on their website. Additional hunters, family, and friends are welcome at a 10% discount from advertised prices. There are many cultural events in San Antonio to enjoy, including the famous “River Walk”, the Alamo, Buck Horn Museum & Saloon, wineries, and much more.
