South Pacific Safaris New Zealand offers luxury accommodation and is a hunter’s paradise. The
Lodge and luxury hunting chalets are situated on their game estate. Each designed with open
plan living and lounge areas to make everyone feel welcome, very comfortable and hopefully, a
home away from home. Each guest room has its own adjoining private bathroom with heated
marble floors. Situated on the spectacular east coast of the South Island, near the small coastal
town of Kaikoura, where the mountains meet the sea. The Lodge and Chalets offer magnificent
views of the surrounding bush clad mountains and look out over the Pacific Ocean. The cuisine
at South Pacific Safaris is traditional New Zealand dishes with emphasis on fresh, wholesome
food. Wild game and fresh fish / Lobster are regularly on the menu. All dinners are complimented
with a superb selection of hand picked NZ wines.
Owners Louise & Brent have applied proven game management principals to both their game
ranch” area and their hunting concession, resulting in outstanding world class trophies of Red
Stag, Elk, Tahr, Chamois, wild boar, fallow buck, Ram and feral goat. Red stags hunted at
South Pacific Safaris are known for their world class quality, huge mass, points and width. Red
stags are hunted from March through to August. March and April being the rut time for stags,
Elk (Wapiti) and Fallow Buck. Mid April through to August is a prime time to hunt Bull Tahr
& Chamois as this is when they are in their rut and have their full winter coats. Wild boar, ram
and goat are hunted all season.
