3 EARLY FIREARMS CONVERTED TO PERCUSSION.

1) PENNSYLVANIA STYLE MILITIA MUSKET CONVERTED FROM MODEL 1814 US FLINTLOCK RIFLE. Cal. 60. NSN. Bbl. 33" half oct., fitted w/ rifle sights & stamped “H. DERRINGER / PHILA” on top flat & is converted to percussion w/ drum & nipple. Lock converted from flint is also marked “H. DERRINGER / PHILA” in front of hammer & has rebated tail. Walnut stock extends to w/ in 3" of muzzle & attaches to bbl. w/ 3 side bolts. Brass trigger guard has finger bumps & interesting brass patch box has stylized drooping headed eagle finial & release for cover in top sideplate. Both bbl. & side of stock behind sideplate stamped “CP55”. CONDITION: iron parts dark brown patina w/ some cleaning. Stock w/ old finish has marks. Brass nicely toned. Pitted bore. Lock operates. 2) US SURCHARGED FRENCH CHARLEVILLE (?) MUSKET CONVERTED TO PERCUSSION. Cal. 71. NSN. Bbl. 45", stamped “US” at rear. Converted by drum & nipple. No markings are visible in front of hammer on lock. “US” is deeply stamped at rear. Walnut stock attaches to bbl. w/ 3 spring retained bands & has usual iron. 1763 Style French furniture. CONDITION: metal w/ old cleaning has pewter highlights under brown patina. Stock retains old surfaces w/ numerous marks & nicks. Repaired cracks & splits are on left side in front of sideplate. Bbl. channel is good. Pitted bore. Lock works. (01-19765/MGM).
3) FULL STOCK NEW ENGLAND STYLE PERCUSSION FOWLER. Cal. 66. NSN. Bbl. 36 3/4" half oct., has deep engraving along top & a indecipherable cartouche. Conversion is by drum & nipple. Lock w/ "Ketland" mark has engraving on rebated tail. Cherry wood stock w/ deep sweep to butt. Extends to w/ in 1 1/2" of muzzle & is pinned to bbl. Furniture is of hammered brass & of early style. Wooden ramrod mounts through beaded brass pipe & thimble. CONDITION: iron parts dark brown patina. Wood w/ crusty old finish has cracks around New England style 2 piece sideplate. Front lock screw replaced by bent 16D nail. Rusted bore. Lock will not cock. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Gary Parietti. (01-19766/MGM). ALL ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,500.
