3 EARLY SWORDS.

1) EAGLE HEAD. Overall length: 32 3/4". Blade length: 27 1/2". Plain blade w/ a single wide fuller. Brass hilt w/ spade languets & an eagle head pommel. Leather covered wooden grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray mottled patina. Hilt is a bit bend. Grip is 90% intact w/ no wire wrap. (02-16114/BF).
2) BROADSWORD. Overall length: 39 1/2". Blade length: 34 1/4". A reused early broadsword blade w/ 2 narrow central fullers extending from 2 1/2" above the hilt to 10" above the hilt. S shaped, sheet iron guard. Turned wood handle believed to be oak. This sword appears to be an American rehilted blade of an earlier time. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a dark overall patina w/ scattered cleaned pitting & a rounded tip. Guard is a bit loose. Grip shows light wear. (02-16119/BF).
3) CHILD'S SABER. Overall length: 24". Blade length: 19 1/2". Plain, flat blade. Solid brass hilt w/ a bird’s head pommel. Wire wrapped, leather covered grip. Leather scabbard w/ brass drag. CONDITION: blade has a dark patina showing overall light pitting & a rounded tip. Hilt is slightly bent. Grip leather is about 80%. Wire is complete. Scabbard shows light overall wear but is missing a throat & suffers from shrinkage. (02-16148/BF). $800-1,300.
