ALL: cal. 8 mm Mauser. Bbls. 29". 1) S# 8732D. S# matches on receiver, bbl., rear sight, bbl. bands, trigger guard & buttstock. Receiver marked on left side "GEW.98", receiver ring marked on top "SIMSON & CO SUHL 1916". Straight bolt handle. Lange rear sight graduated to 2000m. Inverted V front sight. Cleaning rod is present. Upper band has parade hook. Matching walnut stock set. Buttstock has faint Imperial acceptance marks on right side. Metal disk appears unmarked. Butt has correct QD swivel. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear, dents, scratches & staining. Has noticeable large crack extending from buttplate to above swivel base on both sides. Has deep gouge on right side above trigger guard. Has loss of finish on left side over trigger guard. Metal has turned overall patina w/ wear, light oxidation & fine pitting. Fair worn bore turning dark in grooves. (20-2955/RW). CURIO. 2) S# 1003K. Numbers match on receiver, bbl., trigger guard, buttstock & rear sight. Rifle has been converted to drill rifle by inserting full-length plug in bore. Bolt has been modified by grinding off forward end & extractor. Firing pin tip has been removed. Mainspring has broken coils. Straight bolt handle. Lange rear sight graduated to 2000m. Inverted V front sight. Cleaning rod is not present. Upper band has parade hook. Walnut stock set. CONDITION: stock set has extensive wear, dents, scratches & gouges commensurate w/ extremely hard service. Has notable gouge & crack on left side forward of trigger guard. Acceptance marks are obscured. Marking disk is oxidized. Metal has traces of blue turning gray & patina w/ oxidation & fine pitting throughout. Bore is plugged. (20-2968/RW). CURIO. 3) S# 262. Numbers match on receiver & bbl. Bolt body, trigger guard & upper band have been renumbered to match. Left receiver rail marked "GEW.98". Receiver ring on top has "DWM" markings. Also includes "BERLIN 1915". Bbl. marked over chamber "S". Lange rear sight graduated to 2000m. Inverted V front sight. Straight bolt handle. Cleaning rod is not present. Upper band has parade hook. Walnut stock set. Buttstock marked at bottom w/ Imperial acceptance marks. Also marked on right side of butt w/ Imperial acceptance marks. Disk is unmarked. CONDITION: stock has moderate wear, dents, staining & scratches over original finish. Metal turning gray & patina w/ traces of blue w/ oxidation & fine pitting. Trigger guard, bbl. bands & bayonet lug have been plated bright w/ thinning, flaking & yellowing. Fair worn bore. (20-2986/RW). CURIO. $600-900.
