Mentioned in the book "US MILITARY HOLSTERS AND RELATED ACCOUTREMENTS" by Edward Scott Meadows, "In 1912, a new pistol belt was adopted. The belt was made in both a mounted or cavalry variation with saber attachment and a dismounted type without the attachment. These earliest belts do not have a snap for attaching the pistol magazine pocket." These belts are woven web with holes for hooks having a "Mills Bronze" finish. 1) DATED 1916. Has inked "NJ" & "HS" 2) DATED 1914. Has remnants of ink markings partially obscured. 3) DATED 1913 CAVALRY. Belt has saber hanger. CONDITION: belts are in good to very good overall condition showing light staining of fabric, light wear to fabric, fading of finish on brass portions along with scattered areas of verdigris.
