3 REMINGTON MODEL 1917 FIRST PRODUCTION BAYONETS.

Overall lengths: 21 3/4". Blade length: 17". Used in WWI in tandem w/ Model 1917 rifles & trench shotguns. Parkerized blades w/ other parts blued. Wood grip panels w/ grooves.
1) FIRST PATTERN MAXIM SCABBARD. Riscassos marked w/ double stamped flaming bomb & US proof, Eagle "18" & 1918 Date. OD Green painted leather scabbard w/ first pattern leather belt hanger rivets to top mount. Designed by Hiram Pery Maxim, this example is dated "1917" & inspected by "E.I.C". CONDITION: bayonet in very good overall condition w/ some patina & light wear. Scabbard in good intact condition w/ moderate wear towards tip.
2) Ricassos marked w/ Eagle "20" & "1917" date. 2nd Pattern green leather scabbard. CONDITION. Bayonet in good overall appearance w/ patina on blade, edge wear on blue parts & noticeable chip in right grip panel. Scabbard good intact w/ flaking finish.
3) Ricassos marked w/ Eagle "28" & "1917" date. 2nd Pattern green leather scabbard. CONDITION: Bayonet in good overall appearance w/ dark patina on blade & edge wear on blue parts. Scabbard good intact w/ flaking finish. (02-17432-3/MD). $500-750.
