RIFLE & MODEL 1938 CAVALRY CARBINE & AUSTRIAN WWI STEYR M95 STRAIGHT PULL BOLT ACTION RIFLE. 1) YOUTH TRAINING RIFLE. Cal. 6.5 Training Cartridge. NSN. Bbl. 14 1/2". Scarce training rifle produced in Italy for pre-military training of boys ages 6 through 12 using the 1891 cavalry carbine as a model for the scaled down training rifle which is chambered for a smaller version of the 6.5 service cartridge. Receiver marked on top w/ Facist themed crest w/ letters "GIL". Marked on top left flat over chamber "1939 XVII". Top flat marked "GRAZIAN VERONA". Top right flat marked "F.M.B." Has adj. tangent type sight & blade front sight integral w/ bayonet mount. Bolt has turn-down handle & looks like a scaled-down Model 91 bolt. Has 10 1/4" folding triangular bayonet & side sling bars. Hardwood stock & handguard. Buttstock has circular marking on right side. Letters are partially obscured but read as follows "FRATELLI GRA VERONA 40391". Trap buttplate, buttplate door is not present. Cleaning rod is not present. Mag. has been broken although most of forward part is present along w/ cartridge lifter. Lifter spring is not present. CONDITION: worn stock set has original finish w/ numerous dents, scratches & staining. Handguard has crack on top. Metal is gray & patina w/ wear, oxidation & scattered scratches. Bayonet blade has shallow bend in forward end. As stated, mag. has been broken & sm. pieces may be missing. Bolt stop is not present, allowing bolt to be withdrawn when rifle is operated. Poor dark heavily oxidized bore. (20-2917/RW). 2) MODEL 1938 CAVALRY CARBINE. Cal. 6.5 Carcano. S# TP5323. Bbl. 17 3/4". Receiver is unmarked. Bbl. marked only w/ S# on left side of chamber which matches S# on bolt & buttstock. Fixed open rear sight & inverted V front sight. Turned down bolt handle. 13 3/8" Folding blade bayonet. Hardwood stock set w/ side sling. Vintage leather sling. Trap buttplate. CONDITION: original finish stock set w/ moderate wear, staining & handling marks. Metal retains 60% blue w/ patina, light oxidation & fine pitting. Very good shiny bore. (20-2941/RW). 3) AUSTRIAN WWI STEYR M95 STRAIGHT PULL BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 8x50R. S# 5291L. Bbl. 30". Receiver marked on top "STEYR M.95". Bbl. marked over chamber w/ "17" indicating mfg. in 1917. All visible numbers match. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2600m. Inverted V front sight. Straight bolt handle. Upper band w/ stacking rod & bayonet lug. Bottom swivels. Hardwood stock set. CONDITION: original finish stock set has light wear, staining & scattered handling marks. Stock has neat arsenal type repair at toe. Metal has turned overall gray & patina w/ light wear & scattered spots of light oxidation. Very good shiny bore. (20-2956/RW). ALL CURIO. $400-800.
