3 WWII GERMAN ARMY VISOR CAPS.

1) MOUNTAIN TROOPS. This fine visor cap has a green crown with a black band. It is piped in green throughout. There is an aluminum Army eagle at the front of the crown along with an edelweiss & a bullion wreath, with central national cockade, at the front of the band. Black visor with silver bullion chinstrap terminated by aluminum pebble finished buttons. Tan sweatband with diamond shaped sweatshield. A gold embossed label under the sweatshield reads, "B M F". The top of the sweatshield is stamped "59". Gold colored rayon lining. This cap was likely worn by a senior NCO that was promoted to officer while in the field and he adapted his enlisted cap by embellishing it. CONDITION: cap shows evidence of mothing. The interior has sweat staining.
2) INFANTRY. This nice visor cap has a sage green crown with a forest green band. It is piped in white throughout. There is an aluminum Army eagle at the front of the crown along with an aluminum wreath, with central national cockade, at the front of the band. Black visor with black leather chinstrap terminated by black enameled buttons. Sage green sweatband with rounded diamond shaped sweatshield. Sweatshield is silver embossed "(triangle) G / B LUHUS". There is a paper label in the sweatshield that reads, "E.. LEIBBRAND.". Black rayon lining. CONDITION: cap shows light wear overall with 2 small linear stains on the crown. Sweatband is quite crazed but present. Lining shows some dirt.
3) PIONEER. A scarce enlisted Pioneer visor cap with an olive green crown & a forest green band. It is piped in black throughout. There is an aluminum Army eagle at the front of the crown along with an aluminum wreath, with central national cockade, at the front of the band. Black visor with black leather chinstrap terminated by black enameled buttons. Brown sweatband with no remaining sweatshield. There is an illegible maker's mark in the crown within a large diamond. Lining appears to be green rayon. CONDITION: cap shows light wear overall with some oxidation to the eagle and wreath. Sweatband is a bit shrunk from heat damage. Visor has a slightly crazed finish. Sweatband shows moderate to heavy wear with some losses. Heavy sweat staining to the crown. (02-17083/BF). $1,100-1,500.
