Come ride with us through the spectacular Cariboo Mountains bordering Wells Gray Provincial Park in the eastern portion of the Cariboo region of British Columbia. We offer several packages, from overnight to seven day rides during July and August, and can also customize a trip to suit your individual needs. The area in which we ride is truly remote and known only to a few. We rarely encounter any other riders during our wilderness trips. Our rides take you through some of the most diverse mountain wilderness to be found anywhere. From forested valley bottoms with wild, rushing rivers, to lush alpine meadows overflowing with a colourful array of wild flowers, to jagged mountain peaks and basins dotted with small, alpine lakes in shades of blue and green. The quick eye will spot any number of wildlife, for many species call this rugged country their home. Mountain goat, mountain caribou, mule deer, black bear, grizzly, wolf, moose, lynx, hoary marmot and wolverine are among the animals you may see, hear or find signs of. Bald and golden eagles, ospreys and many varieties of hawks soar the skies as well.

We prefer the size of our groups to be between three and eight persons, although we can accommodate smaller and larger parties as well. All our trips are leisurely enough to be enjoyed by any level of rider. Great care is taken to match each rider to the horse which best suits their riding experience and ability. The amount of riding done each day varies with which trip is chosen, however, it is usually four to five hours. The guide provides many opportunities to stop and enjoy the various viewpoints along the way, giving both horses and riders a chance to rest.

Spacious, full height five man dome tents are used to accommodate our riders. We usually put only two people per tent to ensure plenty of room, comfort and privacy. Delicious plentiful meals are prepared daily to satisfy everyone's hearty outdoor appetite. Lunches are eaten picnic style along the trail, while breakfasts and suppers are prepared over an open campfire or cook-stove. We encourage our riders to help with the horses and various camp chores, as we feel that by joining in they can derive more enjoyment out of their trip.
