MARKED “QUEENS 21ST BAT NSM (NOVA SCOTIA MILITIA?) 135”. Cal. 78. NSN. Bbl. 39 1/4". Early short land pattern Brown Bess. Unmarked at breech end. Lock is marked “TOWER” & w/ crowned “GR”. Bbl. & lock reconverted from percussion. Early style stock w/ raised platform around bbl. tang, handrail type comb & moderate palm swell is pinned to bbl. & extends to w/ in 4” of muzzle w/ brass cap. Right side of comb is deeply branded “QUEENS” “21 BAT NSM” “135”. (Reference not found). CONDITION: very good as reconverted. Iron parts w/ pitted brown patina. Brass w/ dark brown toning. Stock has great look w/ hand worn patina at grip & for piece on its original finish. Rusted bore. Lock will not hold at full cock. (01-20138/MGM). ANTIQUE. $1,250-1,750.
