1) RARE COVER FOR CONFEDERATE SHEET MUSIC TITLED “BONNIE BLUE FLAG”. Also titled “Composed & Arranged for the Piano-Forte”, published by Miller & Beacham, Baltimore. Entered according to the Act of Congress1862 by Miller & Beacham in the Clerk’s Office in the District Court of Maryland. This nice example centers the image of a flag w/ a lone white five point star as the cover for sheet music & is mounted beneath a blue & black matte under glass w/ in a gold gilt frame. SIZE: 12” x 10” sight. Overall frame 19” x 17”. CONDITION: the cover has been professionally mounted and has general overall foxing & toning, but otherwise good to very good. A nice example of Confederate Civil War music & illustrative art. 2) SHEET MUSIC PATRIOTIC SONG OF THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA. Poem honoring the famed Confederate Officer Lt. Gen. Thomas J. Stonewall Jackson. This cover sheet published by Miller & Beacham, Baltimore, circa 1862. The cover sheet very simply presented in red block print w/ additional notation entered according to the Act of Congress A.D. 1862 by William & Beacham in the Clerk’s Office in the District Court of Maryland. According to lore, the song was found on the body of a Confederate Sargent after the first battle of Winchester, May 25, 1862. Professionally matted & mounted under glass w/ in a gold gilt frame. SIZE: 12” x 9-1/2” sight. Overall frame is 19-1/2” x 17”. CONDITION: w/ minor toning, otherwise w/ strong graphics, very nice overall. 3) VERY FINE & RARE CONFEDERATE SHEET MUSIC TITLED “THE SONG OF THE SOUTH”. Composed & respectfully dedicated to the Sons of the South by James H. Huber. Published by D.P. Faulds & Co. of Louisville, KY. Cover sheet of a Confederate song during the American Civil War, published in 1861 w/ very strong graphics, Patriotic crossed flags of the Confederacy w/ a hand notation presented by C.S. (last name illegible) in ink script & professionally matted & framed under glass. A beautifully designed example. SIZE: 12-1/2” x 10-1/2” sight. Overall framed 19-1/4” x 17”. CONDITION: w/ strong graphics but w/ surface soiling, some water staining along the right side facing & toning. Good overall. A nice addition to any musical collection from the American Civil War. 4) FINE CIVIL WAR SHEET MUSIC COVER TITLED “UNION & LIBERTY” DEDICATED TO GOVERNOR DANIEL TODD OF OHIO. Medley by John Seltzer, arranged for the Piano-Forte by Edmund Mattoon. The cover w/ very strong graphics depicting Lady Liberty w/ the American flag, Greek harp & bald eagle at her feet; all w/ in gilt frame & beneath a displayed American eagle. Very patriotic example of the Union during the Civil War. Matted & framed in gold gilt frame. SIZE: 13” x 9-3/4” sight. Overall frame is 19” x 17”.
