1) INTERNATIONAL ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS SWORD. Overall length: 36 1/2". Blade length: 28 1/4". Blade is etched over half its length w/ various foliate & Odd Fellow motifs including a panel that reads, “Col. Geo. W. Towne.”. Ricasso is etched, “Made by The M.C. Lilley & Co Columbus, O”. Heavily embellished gilded hilt w/ various Odd Fellows motifs including the initials, “PM” w/ crown for Patriarchs Militant. Sword knot attached. Plated iron scabbard w/ heavily gilded mounts. Scabbard is also engraved, “Col. Geo. W. Towne.”. Sword is housed in a cloth bag which is in turn housed in a leather carrier w/ a plaque that reads, “Col George W Towne Lawrence Mass”. CONDITION: sword shows very light wear overall. Sword knot is separated. Cloth bag & leather carrier show light to moderate wear. (02-15373/BF). 2) US M1902 OFFICERS SABER. Overall length: 36 1/2". Blade length: 29 7/8". Blade is etched over 2/3 of its length w/ various military, foliate & patriotic motifs including a blank panel. Ricasso marked, “440 STAINLESS”. Plated hilt w/ black plastic formed grip. Plated scabbard. CONDITION: entire sword shows very light wear. (02-15374/BF). 3) US M1902 OFFICERS SABER. Overall length: 36 1/2". Blade length: 29 3/4". Blade is etched over 2/3 of its length w/ various military, foliate & patriotic motifs including a blank panel. Ricasso marked, “THE M. C. LILLEY & CO COLUMBUS, O.”. Plated hilt w/ composite formed grip. Plated scabbard. Sword is housed in a black leather like carrying case. CONDITION: blade shows substantial original factory polish. Hilt shows light wear. Scabbard shows significant wear w/ major losses of plating. (02-15375/BF). 4) BRITISH INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD. Overall length: 40 1/4". Blade length: 34". Quill back blade etched over half its length w/ various military & patriotic motifs. There is no legible mark observed. Brass branched guard w/ lion head pommel. Wire wrapped sharkskin grip. Scabbard appears to be brass w/ an iron drag. CONDITION: blade has heavy oxidation obscuring the etching & has been vigorously sharpened. The outside branch of the guard is broken at the knuckle bow. Grip is solid. Scabbard has a few shallow dents & needs a good cleaning. (02-15376/BF). $500-900.
