1) MARINE CORPS. A field grade officer’s dress visor cap dating from the 1950s to early in the Vietnam War. Cap is white w/ white quatrefoil on the crown. Front features a gold & silver EGA. Gold bullion & red chinstrap w/ Marine Corps side buttons. Visor has gold embroidered oak leaves & acorns. Interior sweatshield reads, “Lancaster Brand ASK THE MAN WHO WEARS ONE LOS ANGELES, CALIF.”. CONDITION: very lightly worn.
2) MARINE CORPS. A field grade officer’s dress visor cap dating from the 1950s to early in the Vietnam War. Cap is white w/ white quatrefoil on the crown. Front features a gold & silver EGA. Gold bullion & red chinstrap w/ Marine Corps side buttons. Visor has gold embroidered oak leaves & acorns. Interior sweatshield reads, “Art Caps New York”. An interior card reads, “JOSEPH HENRY MADEY MAJOR UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS”. CONDITION: cap shows light wear w/ minor staining.
3) NAVY. A WWII naval officer’s visor cap. Crown is khaki & the band is black. Gold & silver bullion naval officer’s insignia on the front along w/ a gold chinstrap & Navy side buttons. Visor features gold bullion oak leaves & acorns. Sweatshield reads, “Art Caps Military Headwear New York”. An interior card reads, “CDR. D.M. LESLIE, USNR” w/ an address. CONDITION: hat shows light wear. Sweatshield is a bit rough.
4) PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE. A scarce WWI to 1920s era Public Health Service visor cap featuring an OD crown w/ khaki band. Front of cap has a subdued Public Health Service insignia. Brown leather chinstrap & visor w/ subdued Public Health Service side buttons. Interior mark is illegible. Sweatshield is missing. CONDITION: hat generally shows light wear. There is minor surface crazing on the visor. Crown shows minor mothing. (02-15771/BF). $600-800.
