EARLY BEER CRATE.
1) A wooden ammo crate measuring approximately 27” x 11” x 7 1/2" high. There are 3 attached paper labels that read “1080 Stuck 9mm M. 30 scharfe S-Patronen B (eagle) p 635 I. 1939”. Box is dovetailed with leather strap hinges and canvas handles on either end. CONDITION: box shows moderate wear but is complete. Labels are worn but legible.
2) A wooden ammo crate measuring 18 1/2" x 13 1/2" x 6 1/2" high. Crate is unmarked. The lid has leather strap hinges on one end and a leather strap and buckle closure on the other end. CONDITION: box is solid and shows moderate wear overall.
3) A wooden ammo crate measuring 20” x 11” x 6 1/2" high. There are 2 paper labels that read “OJP 61 720 7,62mm S-Patronen G M1 1305-1-0-28-6204 -A214 Kg m3”. The lid has a branded mark that is partially legible and appears to read “_ATR_NENASTEN 98”. There is a partial paper label over the brand that is illegible. CONDITION: box shows wear but remains quite solid.
4) A wooden ammo crate measuring 12” x 18 1/2" x 10 1/2" high. The outside is stenciled “2 NOV 1937 GENERALITAT DE CATALUNYA INDUSTRIA DE GUERRA FABRICA NO. 9” & “50 Granadas de Mano Universal nuevo modelo”. Crate has rope handles on either end. CONDITION: crate shows moderate wear with heavy rusting to the metal hinges and hasp.
5) An early 24-bottle beer case for Berghoff beer of Fort
Wayne, Indiana. Case has black impressed logos on front and back. The interior of the case is divided into 24 bottle-sized sections. CONDITION: markings are partially legible. Case remains quite strong.
