4 WWII GERMAN VISOR CAPS.

1) RED CROSS. A fine WWII German Red Cross leader's visor cap. Hat has a gray wool crown with a slightly lighter gray wool band & is piped in light gray throughout. There is an aluminum hat wreath with central national cockade. The front of the crown has a black and red enamel Red Cross eagle. The chinstrap is silver bullion terminated by 2 aluminum pebble finished buttons. Black visor with brown sweatband. Gray lining with a paper tag that reads in part, "DRK Hauptfuhrer Friedrich, Stefar_ _ _". CONDITION: cap appears to be in fine condition but is slightly misshaped and could use a good blocking.
2) RED CROSS. A very good WWII German Red Cross enlisted grade visor cap. Hat has a gray wool crown with a slightly darker gray wool band & is piped in light gray throughout. There is an aluminum hat wreath with central national cockade. The front of the crown has a black and red enamel Red Cross eagle. The chinstrap is black leather terminated by 2 black enameled buttons. Black visor with tan sweatband. Mustard colored lining with diamond shaped sweatshield. CONDITION: cap shows light wear overall with a few bits of paper stuck to the visor.
3) DAF. A fine WWII Deutsche Arbeitsfront leader's visor cap. Hat has a dark blue crown with a black cloth band covered in oak leaves and acorns. The hat is piped in the same blue as the crown. The crown has a pinned on DAF gold and black cloth hat badge with a gold metal border. The chinstrap is silver bullion terminated by 2 black cloth buttons. Black visor with tan sweatband. Blue lining with silver embossed DAF insignia below partial sweatshield. An interior tag reads, "seit 1871 KASTNER Hute-mutzen Esslingen a.N.". CONDITION: cap shows light wear overall. The sweatshield is mostly missing.
4) UNKNOWN. This peaked cap is likely of WWII vintage. It has a blue crown and blue band of the same cloth. The upper piping is blue and the lower 2 rows of piping are silver bullion. There is no insignia on the hat although the ghost of insignia does exist. The chinstrap is black plastic. Black visor with tan sweatband. Black lining with diamond shaped sweatshield. CONDITION: cap is in generally solid condition but is misshaped and could use a good blocking. (02-17091/BF). $900-1,200.
