Proud NZPHGA member Gedson Guide Service is pleased to offer this combo hunt for a free range Tahr, a heli-assisted Chamois and estate Fallow buck hunt for one hunter April 2027.
This is an all-inclusive 6 day, 5 night hunt in the central South Island of New Zealand. The hunter will be based out of our lodge at a Canterbury high country station, where we will hunt the surrounding mountains for Tahr and the station's game estate for the Fallow. The Chamois hunt will also begin and conclude at this location.
A Gedson Guide Service representative will meet you at the Christchurch Airport baggage claim. The drive from the airport to the station is approximately 2.5 hours, we will stop for lunch on the way and dinner will be provided that night at the hunting camp.
Accommodation is a 4 bedroom lodge situated on an operating station amongst the foothills of the Southern Alps. Bedrooms have ensuites. All bedding and linen is provided. There are dedicated lodge staff who will prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is no cellular network, however Wi-Fi is available.
Day 1 - Arrive in Christchurch and travel to the station.
Days 2 to 5 - Four full hunting days. Can also hunt day 6 if required.
Day 6 - Drop trophies to the taxidermist and spend the night at a Christchurch Hotel.
INCLUDED: Pick up and return to the airport, lodging, meals, rifle use, Tahr, Fallow Buck, Chamois, trophy preparation and delivery to the taxidermist/expediter.
EXCLUDED: Gratuities, alcoholic beverages, and 1 night in a hotel.
Additional trophies can be added for the associated fee (listed in the brochure). A non hunter is also able to join the hunt for $1,500. Additional hunters are also welcome.
