GRADE O/U SHOTGUN ENGRAVED BY DiFRANCO. Cal. 410. S# 534J83. This 1983 production gun has 28" bbls. w/ narrow matted ventilated rib. Top bbl. marked w/ Browning Morgan, Utah & Montreal addresses, steel, caliber, information & "MADE IN BELGIUM BY FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL". Left side of breech marked for modified & full chokes. Coin finished Superlight action w/ gold plated single selective trigger engraved in Browning Diana style w/ near full coverage, lg. shaded acanthus scroll surrounding game scenes w/ a nye of 5 pheasant on left side & 4 ducks in Marsh on right. 2 Quail fly across bottom of action & a pair of rabbits are on trigger guard bow. This fine engraving is signed "M. DiFranco" under pheasant scene. Crotch figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 3/8" over Browning hard rubber buttplate. Modified point pattern checkering wraps over top of grip. 1 Piece schnabeled Superlight forend matches well. BORE DIAMETER. AT MUZZLES: bottom .395(mod?), top .380(full?). DAC: 1 7/16". DAH: 2 1/8". WEIGHT: 6 lbs., 11 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: housed in brown leather case w/ tag on top embossed "SPORTING" "CLASSIC". Interior is lined in gray cloth & has Browning trademark embroidered in lid. Case contains straps & key. CONDITION: exceptionally fine. Very close to as new, appears to be unfired since proof w/ only 1 or 2 minor assembly & handling marks & all fine factory finishes. Most notably a couple of sm. compressions on right side comb. Case is fine. There is some discoloration to cloth & embroidered word at end of "BROWNING". (21-3927/MGM). MODERN. $18,000-20,000.
