5-Day Rhino Safari for 1 hunter & 1 Companion with Rockwood Rhino Conservancy-EXHIBITOR
Nancy Lee Gysin, the US representative for Rockwood Rhino Conservancy has generously donated an exciting opportunity for 1 hunter and their non-hunting companion to use a non-lethal dart on a dangerous rhino in the Northern Cape of South Africa. Avula Safaris is offering this donation to bring awareness to the conservation efforts being made by the team.
This donation is for:
5 Day Safari at Rockwood Rhino Conservancy for 1 hunter and 1 non-hunter. Including a Rhino Management Dart (additional species are available off the 2023 Price List). Accompanied by licensed certified veterinarian, owner Wicus, your Professional Hunter, will guide you first-hand on a walk and stalk management dart hunt for this prehistoric mammal. We will collect valuable DNA samples, micro-chipping and overall health check. You will learn about a day in the life of the Rhinos our Anti-Poaching Team, the security and surveillance all while staying 5 days at Rockwood Rhino Conservancy, amongst one of the largest rhino herds in the world. There are many species that can be harvested at Rockwood and you are welcome to add days, hunters and non-hunters off the price list. The White Rhino once roamed freely throughout Africa, but few now survive outside reserves and national Parks. Since 2015 there have been over 4,800 Rhino killed due to poaching. Rockwood supports the 2nd largest herd of privately owned Rhino and as a team we are diligently working to protect and secure the Rhino population for our future and the future of the Rhino. The private rhino owners are the only hope for rhino survival. Rockwood Conservancy bought 45 rhino from Kruger National Park in September 2013. Said Rhinos have multiplied to 105 by end of Feb 2021. In the same time Kruger lost 70% of their rhino. If the 45 rhino were left in Kruger 70% would have died (31) and only 14 would have survived. The score is 105 to 14…..
