“Here at Avula Green Kalahari Lodge/Rockwood Rhino Conservancy we respect the value of nature and it is a wealth of species that we are committed to ensure their prosperity, now and for years to come. Our mission is to preserve the future of one of Africa’s most threatened species – the white rhino, through sustainable utilization. You will also have the unique opportunity to experience first-hand what it takes to manage and protect one of the largest rhino herds in the world. Your support will help us continue the fight against poaching and to preserve the future of the white rhino – with honor and valor. This amazing opportunity will allow you to be up close and personal with over 300 White Rhino’s. Rhinoceroses are herbivores, which means they eat only vegetation. Join the Rhino Rangers and staff feeding the Rhino’s a well balance diet to sustain their well-being. Experience photo opportunities within 15 yards while you walk amongst these giants with your Ranger as they feed. For those with equestrian experience you can horseback ride amongst these amazing horned mammals. Take a ride in a safari vehicle amongst 100’s of Rhino’s in their natural habitat, all the while being amazed that at 5,100lbs they can travel up to speeds of 31mph. See their herds, or better known as “crash”. Do they live in family units or are they solitary? We can answer that and much more, which you can experience it yourself. The security systems in place, the endless hours via horseback, vehicle, and towers securing our boarders. The needed firearms and surveillance used by our Anti-Poaching team. What is poaching, why do they poach, who poaches? The answers to these questions offer us knowledge and with knowledge comes power to protect. You will have the unique opportunity to have a guided tour at the Rhino Conservation Research Center. This guided tour is for those who want to spend more time learning about the Rhino habitat, gestation period, lifespan and so much more. Your private Rhino Ranger is there for one-on-one questions and answers. Truly an unmatched interaction with those who roam and protect these magnificent Rhino’s.

Not included are airfare, ground transportation, before and after expenses, animals wounded or harvested in addition to the antelope, dip/pack and shipping of trophies, taxidermy fees, rifle permit nor gratuities for PH and staff. Additional hunters and animals may be added per their current price list or bring along non-hunting companions for $350 per day.. LVSCI would like to thank Avula Safaris for this generous donation.
