5 MOSTLY VICTORIAN ERA SWORDS.

1) BROAD SWORD. Overall length: 38". Blade length: 27 3/4". A lg. heavy broadsword likely made in the late Victorian period or early 20th Century. Blade has a dbl. fuller, stepped ricasso & rounded tip. Sheet iron guard w/ iron grip & pommel. Iron mounted, leather covered wooden scabbard. CONDITION: blade has an overall oxidized patina. Guard & hilt are a bit loose & show some oxidation & bending. Scabbard has lost the majority of its leather covering but the wood & iron remain solid & intact. (02-16106/BF).
2) SMALL SWORD. Overall length: 37 1/2". Blade length: 30". An early sword style likely made during the Victorian era. Plain blade w/ solid brass hilt. Guard, knuckle bow, pommel & grip all have rococo like designs. Brass mounted leather scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a few scattered areas of oxidation. Hilt is tight & has a mellow mustard patina. Scabbard shows moderate wear w/ a modern glued leather repair near the center. (02-16109/BF).
3) SWEPT HILT RAPIER. Overall length: 43 1/2". Blade length: 36 1/2". A fine quality Victorian repro. swept hilt rapier. Blade has foliate engraving throughout the first 8 1/2" on both sides. The entire hilt is of swept hilt form in brass w/ a lg. bulbous, lobed pommel. Grip appears to be ebony. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has overall light oxidation. Brass has a dark mustard patina. Grip is undamaged. (02-16116/BF).
4) CRUCIFORM SMALL SWORD. Overall length: 37 3/4". Blade length: 30 1/2". A 20th Century sword likely from a ceremonial unit or a fraternal comradery. Plain blade is etched at the ricasso, "TOYE & CO. LD LONDON". Gilded brass crossguard & pommel. Wire wrapped leather grip. Gilded brass mounted leather scabbard. CONDITION: blade has areas of original factory polish w/ some oxidation in spots concentrated near the tip. Most of the gold finish remains on the crossguard, pommel & scabbard mts. Grip has significant wear but wire is complete. Scabbard is generally solid & shows light wear. (02-16123/BF).
5) CRUCIFORM SWORD. Overall length: 38 3/4". Blade length: 31 1/2". Likely a ceremonial sword from the late 1800s. Blade has a dbl. fuller extending 16" up the blade from the hilt. Solid brass hilt w/ wide 7 1/2" crossguard & 8 sided pommel. Grip is also brass w/ 2 raised medial rings. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a uniform oxidized finish. Hilt is a bit loose & crossguard is very slightly bent. (02-16135/BF). $800-1,300.
