1) ARVN. A fascinating example of an Army of the Republic of Vietnam Ranger helmet. Body of helmet is sanded & painted yellow w/ a devilish black cat superimposed on a white star on the front. Liner is also painted yellow w/ a similar device on the front. Helmet has swivel bails & a rear seam. Complete liner but no chinstrap.
2) ARVN. A nice example of an Army of the Republic of Vietnam Ranger helmet. Body of helmet is painted green w/ a sanded finish & a devilish black cat superimposed on a white star on the front. Helmet has swivel bails & a rear seam. No liner or chinstrap.
3) ARVN. An interesting Army of the Republic of Vietnam Special Forces (Luc Luong Dac Biet) helmet for the 77th Paratroopers. Body of helmet is painted green w/ a sanded finish. The painted device on the front includes a white parachute w/ "77" on the canopy & 3 lightning bolts below. This device is superimposed by a jumping yellow tiger, all on a green field edged in yellow. Helmet has swivel bails & a rear seam. No liner of chinstrap.
4) ARVN. A unique Army of the Republic of Vietnam Special Forces (Luc Luong Dac Biet) camouflage helmet. Body of helmet is painted green w/ a sanded finish. Black, white & kelly green camouflage has been added to the helmet. The painted device on the front includes a white parachute & 3 lightning bolts below. This device is superimposed by a jumping yellow tiger, all on a green field edged in white. Helmet has swivel bails & a rear seam. Liner is painted in a similar manner as the helmet. No chinstrap.
5) FRENCH. A rarely seen French M1 style helmet of a type used in Indo-China w/ known usage in Dien Bien Phu. This style helmet was also used in the Algerian Wars. Helmet has a lightly sanded green finish w/ a unique plastic liner & canvas chinstrap. The inside crown of the helmet is stenciled, "CARPENTIER 1953 CUSSET". CONDITION: all helmets show light to moderate wear. It is exceedingly difficult to determine the exact age of painted decoration on Vietnam Era helmets. All of these helmets show wear over the paint.
