5 WWII GERMAN HELMETS.

1) ARMY. An example of an M35 single decal Wehrmacht helmet with a camouflage painted tan finish. Helmet has a Wehrmacht decal on the left side. Inside left is stamped "NS6_". Inside rear is stamped "E.41". Replacement dark brown sueded liner & brown leather chinstrap. CONDITION: camo finish is about 60%. Decal is 90%. Liner shows light wear. Chinstrap has a broken end.
2) LUFTWAFFE. This is an example of an M40 single decal Luftwaffe helmet with a dark blue painted finish. Helmet has a Luftwaffe decal on the left side. Inside left is stamped "Q64". Inside rear is stamped "DN212". The inside rear of the helmet also is painted with the initials "RF" & has the scratched name "RESI". Correct style replacement liner stamped "57" & black leather chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet retains approx. 70% original finish. Decal is about 80%. Liner shows light wear.
3) ARMY. An example of an M35 double decal Wehrmacht helmet with a field green painted finish. Helmet has a Wehrmacht decal on the left side & a national colors decal on the right. Inside left is stamped "SE66". Inside rear is stamped "20958". Original liner & black leather chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet finish is approx. 60%. Army decal is 40%. National colors decal is 50%. Liner is deteriorated & quite moldy. Chinstrap shows heavy wear.
4) LUFTWAFFE. This is an example of an M40 single decal Luftwaffe helmet with a dark blue/gray painted finish. Helmet has a Luftwaffe decal on the left side. Inside left is stamped "ET64". Inside rear is stamped "938". The inside rear of the helmet also is painted with the name "Svaton". Original 8 tongue liner with brown leather chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet retains approx. 50% original finish. Decal is about 20%. Liner shows moderate overall wear.
5) ARMY. An example of an M42 single decal Wehrmacht helmet with a field green painted finish. Helmet has a Wehrmacht decal on the left side. Inside rear is stamped "NS66" & "6778". Correct style replacement liner stamped "58". Black leather chinstrap is likely a replacement. CONDITION: helmet finish is about 70%. Decal is about 70% but appears to be a post WWII addition. Liner shows very light wear. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Jack Verret Sr. (02-16488/BF). $1,000-1,400.
