5 WWII JAPANESE COLD WEATHER CAPS.

1) Cap is field green wool with green fleece ear flaps & back with rabbit fur front & small inner flaps for the ears. There is a cloth yellow star on the front on a circular field green backing. Cotton tie chinstrap. Interior appears to be a muslin like cotton with several Japanese ink stampings. CONDITION: light to moderate wear overall. Stampings are clear.
2) Cap is tannish green wool with rabbit fur ear flaps, back, front & smaller interior ear flaps. There is a tan cloth star on a circular olive field on the front of the cap. Cotton tie chinstrap. Interior appears to be white cotton with several Japanese ink stampings. CONDITION: light to moderate wear overall. Lining is stained. Some loss to chinstrap.
3) Cap is sage green wool with rabbit fur ear flaps, back, front & smaller interior ear flaps. There is a yellow cloth star on a circular olive field on the front of the cap. No chinstrap. Interior appears to be white cotton with numerous Japanese ink stampings. CONDITION: light wear overall. Lining is stained.
4) Cap is olive drab wool with rabbit fur ear flaps, back, front & smaller interior ear flaps. There is a yellow cloth star on a circular olive field on the front of the cap. Cotton tie chinstrap. Interior appears to be white cotton with numerous Japanese ink stampings. CONDITION: light wear overall.
5) Cap is sage green & appears to be made from wool scraps for wear by students or civilians. There is a faux leather green chinstrap with side buttons. Cap has a circle on the front with no star. Lining appears to be a coarse plant material. Faux leather sweatband. CONDITION: hat is well worn & shows significant use. (02-16365/BF). $700-1,000.
