5 WWII JAPANESE HELMETS.

1) ARMY. A nice example of a WWII era Japanese Army helmet with a green/brown painted finish. There is a metal star attached to the front. The top of the helmet has 4 vent holes & there is non-period netting covering the helmet. Helmet has a 3 pad leather liner with a khaki cotton canvas chinstrap.
2) MEDIC. A seldom seen example of a WWII period field medic's helmet with a green brown painted finish & 4 vent holes in the top. There is a metal star painted yellow on the front of the helmet & a red cross on a white circular field on each side of the helmet. 3 Pad brown leather liner with cotton tie chin strap. Helmet has "H60" & a red "2" painted on the inside rear of the helmet.
3) ARMY. A good example of a Japanese WWII helmet with a tan/green painted finish & a metal star attached to the front. The top of the helmet has 4 vent holes. Inside of the helmet has a 3 pad liner with a cotton web tie chinstrap. Helmet has 4 Japanese characters painted on the inside rear of the helmet.
4) ARMY. A tan painted Japanese WWII style helmet with a red star on the front & 4 vent holes in the top. Helmet has a 3 pad leather liner with a cotton web tie chinstrap. Helmet has a light field green cloth cover with a muslin type lining with numerous Japanese ink stamps on the inside.
5) PITH HELMET. A khaki cotton Japanese WWII pith helmet with a gilded metal star on the front. Helmet body is covered in khaki colored cotton & the lining is olive drab colored cotton. Cotton web liner with green cotton chinstrap. Interior has 2 sewn in labels with numerous Japanese characters. CONDITION: all helmets show light to moderate wear. All have complete liners but show obvious use. Helmet #4 appears unissued but cover shows wear. (02-16363/BF). $1,500-2,200.
