The rusa deer is a very rare species of deer dating back to the 17th Century on Mauritius Island. Estimates place the Mauritius rusa deer herd at approximately 40,000 animals. Your host Ivan is a born and raised Mauritian outfitter; hunting and fishing Mauritius for approximately 50 years. Deer season is open from June through November, with the rutting season starting in mid-July and lasting until late August. Your safari will include one Gold Medal Rusa Deer measuring up to 34 inches, 3 days hunting with lunch and beverages included in the field, 1 day unguided sightseeing, your professional hunter, a scoped rifle, ammunition, hunting license, preliminary preparation for trophy shipping, airport meet and greet and all ground transportation surrounding your guided safari. Hunt must be scheduled between June and November 2018. For that special person accompanying you, Google Sugar Beach Resort, Mauritius. Additional nights can be added for $600.00 per night. Additional hunting and non-hunting guests can be added and arranged as well as extra hunting days, sightseeing and sportfishing allowing you to enjoy driven wingshooting and wild boar hunting in sugar cane fields, or to experience the world class Indian Ocean fishing during your visit. Ivan has a 38 and 47 foot boat fully rigged and ready to go to catch such species as blue and black marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, dorado, barracuda and more.
