5-day Spain Iberian Mouflon Sheep Hunt for One Hunter and One Observer
SCI's 2009 International Professional Hunter of the Year, Giuseppe Carrizosa of Spain, is donating a 5-day, 1x1 guided, trophy Iberian mouflon sheep for one hunter and one observer. Schedule this rifle or handgun hunt with outfitter for open dates in 2015 or 2016. This hunt is good until trophy is taken or wounded or two reasonable chances have been missed or passed over up to a maximum of five days. Accommodations will be at El Castañar, located at just one hour drive South of Madrid, being one of the most traditional and prestigious private hunting properties in Spain, where the Spanish Royal family has hunted for generations. Besides hunting, the party is invited to visit some of the historical sites in Spain, like the Imperial City of Toledo, and only 20 minute drive from El Castañar. They will also be taken to visit the leather goods shops in Ventas con Peñaguilera, and even play golf and experience the local flamenco dances. Included are reception at the airport, assistance at gun clearance and gun permit, all land transportation, first-class accommodations, gourmet meals, pre-scouting of the area, 1x1 personal English speaking guide and local game scout, trophy fees for donated Iberian mouflon sheep scoring up to 185 CIC, which is a solid Record Book trophy for SCI, and field prep. Additional hunters may join for $790/day; observers cost $390/day. Not included are insurance (required-$350), VAT on total hunt value and gratuities. Along with other species Giuseppe's client have received numerous major awards, and currently has the number three overall Iberian mouflon sheep harvested in 2013 by SCI member Jorge Ferreiro and also the World Record for this species taken with bow and arrow by Archie Nesbitt.
