MONTANA ELK HUNTING
Welcome to Lone Wolf Guide Service, owned and operated by Phillip & Chelsea Bowers, MT Licensed Outfitter #6049. Being native Montanans, hunting is a vital part of our heritage. Phillip was raised in the outfitting business next to the Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness and is a second-generation Montana Outfitter. Making their home in the small town of Livingston, Montana north of Yellowstone National Park and running their outfitting operation on private land ranches around south central / southwest Montana. If you are looking for a GREAT EXPERIENCE, a GOOD TIME, some CAMARADERIE, and to do some hunting go no further. We are here to customize a hunt for you based on your ability!
ALL OUR HUNTING IS FAIR CHASE!
Our September/October archery elk hunts are conducted on private land ranches in a General Hunting Area. When hunting a general draw area all you need is a general elk license. Which is gotten through the Montana General License Drawing with a April 1st deadline.
The bulls found can vary from young brow-tine bulls (rag horns) to mature 320 gross score bull elk. There is a larger population of younger bulls on our ranches in these areas. We have however seen 350+ bulls while out in the field.
We have two styles of hunting we prefer to use during the archery season. The first being spot and stalk with some calling involved. The second is from one of our stationary blinds over water, a wallow, or frequently used game trails. Both have proven to be very successful depending on what the elk are doing at the time of your hunt. Our transportation involves both 4x4 vehicle, and side by side’s.
Lone Wolf Guide Service strives to offer only the very finest private ranches for its client hunters. We own exclusive hunting rights on these ranches (approximately 10,000 acres), and the trophy potential can be fabulous!
