6 BRITISH FLINT & PERCUSSION LOCKS.
1) A late 18th century flintlock mechanism with "BLAKE LONDON" marked in front of the cock. The cock is a reinforced style and may be for a sea service pistol or a carbine. The interior of the lockplate is stamped "ID". CONDITION: lock has a medium gray patina with superficial pitting. Lock appears to function properly. 2) A mid-19th century percussion lock marked with a crowned "VR" in back of the hammer and "1862 L.A. CO." in front of the hammer. The hammer has engraved decoration near the top, but the lock is plain. The interior of the lock is marked "L.A.C" on the sear & bridle. CONDITION: lock has a medium gray overall patina. The hammer screw appears to be broken off. 3) A mid to late 18th century flintlock mechanism. The lockplate is marked "TOWER" behind the cock, and crown over "GR" in front. There is also a small crowned broad arrow adjacent to the previous marking. Both the lock and the cock have lineal embellishments. The interior of the lock is marked with a crowned "5". CONDITION: lock has a medium to dark gray patina with some scattered pitting. Lock appears to function. 4) A mid to late 18th century flintlock mechanism. The lockplate is marked "TOWER" behind the cock, and crown over "GR" in front. There is also a small crowned broad arrow adjacent to the previous marking. Both the lock and the cock have lineal embellishments. The interior of the lock is marked with a crowned "3". CONDITION: lock has a light gray patina with virtually no pitting. Lock appears to function. 5) A small late 18th century pistol lock marked "RIGBY" in front of the cock. The interior of the lockplate is marked "W.R 5". CONDITION: lock has a light to dark gray patina. Several internal parts are missing, including the main spring & sear. 6) A small late 18th century pistol lock marked "RIGBY" in front of the cock. There are no visible markings on the inside of the lock. CONDITION: lock has a dark gray patina. Lock appears to function but the feather spring is missing.
