6-DAY/5-NIGHT STAY AT OTTER LODGE - MOUNTAIN LUXURY HOME
Donated by Scott and Brian Koelzer. Otter Lodge is located just 400 yards from the Northwest border of Yellowstone National Park, this 3000 square foot custom home rests on 5 acres and is fronted by Duck Creek and the Duck Creek pond, both of which offer some of the best blue ribbon trout fishing in the West. A professionally installed fish ladder allows runs of wild Brown and Rainbow trout access from the Madison River and nearby Hebgen Lake (just three miles to the West). Native Brook trout also inhabit the pond and Brown trout up to 32 inches have been caught and released. A Montana fishing license is not required to fish on the Pond, but one is required on other Montana waters. A Yellowstone Park license is required to fish inside the Park. Duck Creek Retreat and the immediate surrounding area is rich in wildlife, including bison, elk, deer, moose, grizzly bear, black bear, otter, beaver, muskrat, Canadian geese, ducks, Trumpeter swan and Sandhill cranes. These are just a few of the perks provided by this incredible family getaway. The town of West Yellowstone is nine miles away to the South, so groceries and restaurants are readily available. The incredible fishing, mountain views and seemingly endless hiking trails make this a family friendly destination. This donation is for a six day, five night stay during the Winter/Spring of 2017/18 (Oct 15-May 1) or summer of 2018. During the summer this home is in a vrbo program so it will be necessary to get booked as it fills up quick.
