1) BRITISH FIRE/NAVAL AX. Overall length: 16". Head width: 8 1/2". Iron head w/ 6 3/4" ears down each side. Blade marked, “C.C / M”. Wooden handle appears to be oak. CONDITION: iron has a dark patina. Light wear overall. 2) BRITISH NAVAL CUTLASS. Overall length: 33 1/2". Blade length: 28 1/4". Plain blade marked at the ricasso, “MOLE BIRMM”. Iron hilt. Black painted iron grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: light wear overall. 3) MACHETE. Overall length: 25". Blade length: 19 3/4". Triple fullered blade w/ 3 talismans. 2 Piece wood grip w/ brass stud decoration. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a dark mottled patina. Grip shows moderate wear. 4) NAVAL CUTLASS. Overall length: 32 1/2". Blade length: 26 1/2". Single fullered curved blade. Figure 8 iron guard. Wood grip. Brass mounted leather scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray, cleaned, mottled finish. Guard has a deep dark patina. Wood grip is replaced. Scabbard shows heavy wear & is missing the throat. Scabbard has doubtful association w/ the cutlass. 5) M1860 US NAVAL CUTLASS. Overall length: 32 3/4". Blade length: 25 3/4". Single fullered blade marked at the ricasso, “Made by AMES MFG CO CHICOPEE MASS” & “186_”. Brass cup hilt stamped at the front of the hilt, “11M / 698”. Wire wrapped leather grip. Riveted leather scabbard w/ added brass tip. Scabbard includes a frog & belt belonging to an artillery sword belt for an 1832 short sword utilizing an M1851 belt plate. CONDITION: sword shows light wear overall. Scabbard shows moderate to heavy wear but remains in 1 piece. Belt & frog also show moderate to heavy wear. There is no buckle but the keeper is present. 6) ARTILLERY SABER. Overall length: 33 1/2". Blade length: 29". Single fullered blade. Iron hilt. Wood grip. CONDITION: sword has an overall dark patina. No leather or wire on grip. Wood is 85% intact. (02-14242(6)/BF). $1,000-1,600.
