1) Standard WWII era Civil Defense helmet overpainted gray w/ Maltese cross decals & China star decals on the upper rim. Front is decorated w/ a mid-shoulder up view of a woman w/ the title, “Gimme a great big smile!” & “MABEL’S LABELS”. Back is decorated w/ 2 Air Force stars & the word “YIPPEE”. 2 & 3) Standard white WWII era Civil Defense helmet w/ liner & chinstrap. 4) Unfinished aluminum construction hard hat marked “B.F. McDONALD CO – LOS ANGELES –“. CONDITION: all helmets show light to moderate wear. (02-13971/BF). 5) Chrome plated, front seam, swivel bail helmet w/ white painted liner stamped w/ the owner’s name & “P-7519”. White leather chinstrap. Liner is of standard WWII form w/ center front vent. 6) White painted, rear seam, swivel bail helmet. Many helmets of this form were painted in late WWII or during the Korean War. White helmets were often used for snow camouflage & occasionally for guard units. 7) White painted, WWII era liner. Liner has a tricolor crest on the outer left side. Interior is painted “1ST-GFG” on the left & “99” on the right. The liner was worn by the First Company Governor's Foot Guard of Connecticut likely as ceremonial or guard headwear. CONDITION: chromed helmet has a mirror finish & liner shows moderate wear. White helmet has 95% painted finish intact & liner shows light wear. White GFG liner shows light wear overall. (02-13972/BF). 8 & 9) 2 Late 20th or early 21st century US military helmets. 1 Has a forest camo color, the other a desert camo color. Both have complete nylon liners & chinstraps.
