1) KNIFE. A huge Oriental knife, machete or beheading ax measuring 40 1/2" overall with a 20 1/2" blade. The blade is painted black & has a modern welded repair near the handle. The wooden handle is cord wrapped with 2 Oriental characters near the top. CONDITION: painted finish on the blade is about 50%. Hilt appears complete with moderate wear. As stated, blade has been broken & has a large welded repair.
2) SWORD. Overall length: 35 1/2". Blade length: 30 1/4". A simple cruciform sword possibly put together for a costume or secret society service. Blade has dual fullers over the top 14" & a raised medial ridge below that with a slightly blunted point. Brass crossguard & pommel. Wood grip, no scabbard. CONDITION: sword shows moderate wear overall.
3) SWORD. Overall length: 32". Blade length: 24 3/4". A fraternal sword with a plain blade featuring a raised medial ridge & blunted point. There is a stamped knight's head at the ricasso. Plated crossguard in the shape of crossed short swords. Spherical pommel with wire wrapped leather grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a dark patina. Hilt shows moderate wear.
4) SABER. Overall length: 37 1/4". Blade length: 31 3/4". Blade has a single wide fuller for the first 21 1/2" & then a double fuller to the tip. Ricasso is stamped "SOLINGEN". Semi-basket hilt. Iron guard with 2 wide branches & a turned down quillon. Plain backstrap & wood grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade & hilt have a dark overall patina. Grip is undamaged.
5) SWORD. Overall length: 40 1/2". Blade length: 31 3/4". The quill back blade has etching over 1/2 its length that appears to have Germanic patriotic & foliate motifs. Plated brass crossguard & knuckle bow with iron pommel & backstrap. Wood grip appears to have been painted red at one time. Plated iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a dark patina obscuring some of the etching. Hilt shows moderate wear with substantial loss of plating. There likely has been an attempt at refinishing the grip. Scabbard shows significant wear although there are only a few dents & minor pitting.
6) SHORT SWORD. Overall length: 24". Blade length: 19 3/8". Plain blade with solid brass hilt. S shaped crossguard. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a mottle patina. Brass has an aged mustard patina.
7) SWORD. Overall length: 30 3/8". Blade length: 25". A standard enlisted European infantry sword used by many countries during the 19th century. Plain blade with solid brass hilt. Turned down quillon with plain knuckle bow. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray lightly mottled patina with a few nicks to the edge. Hilt has a wonderful deep mustard patina.
