DONATION: Asian Mountain Outfitters offers a unique and adventurous mountain hunting experience for one of the most incredible mountain sheep in the world...the Majestic Marco Polo. This is a 8-day hunt and will be conducted on horseback or foot in high elevation.
DATES: Hunt dates will be Oct or November 2019.
ADDITIONAL HUNTERS: If hunt space is available for an additional hunter on the same date, the price is approximately $27,500 for 1 Marco Polo.
ADDITIONAL NON-HUNTERS: A non-hunting companion is welcome for $2,500.
AMENITIES INCLUDED: All Kyrgyzstan hunting licenses and fees are included.
AMENITIES NOT INCLUDED: The hunter is responsible for the flight to and from Bishkek via Turkish Air/Istanbul, Airport VIP service, meals and lodging while in Bishkek (usually 2-3 nights), extra baggage fees for taking home skin/skull or shipping of trophies home and staff tips. The winning bidder will have their name submitted to the USFWS, so that they will get USFWS CITES import permits. The U.S. CITES application with USFWS opens May 1st of each year and costs $100.00. We can arrange a Western/English speaking guide to accompany you (price is a minimum of $5,000 USD plus all their travel and trip expenses).
LOCATION: Kyrgyzstan.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Most of the hunting areas have a heated house or cabin and if spiking out the hunter will use backpack style tents.
SPECIAL NOTE: This is not a North American Hunt; hunters need to be prepared for cultural/language differences. Hunters who elect to hunt with just the local guides need to be able to assist in trophy judging & oversee the skin preparations. The best attitude is to go prepared as if it is a self-guided hunt, combined with local guides. This hunt can be upgraded to a Tajikistan Marco Polo, with the hunter playing the difference in price between the two. Bryan Martin, founder of Asian Mountain Outfitters, has conducted seminars at various conventions about equipment, shooting and what should be expected on such hunts. He has outfitted in Canada since 1999 and in Central Asia since 2002 and has personally been on many successful Marco Polo/Ibex hunts, spending over 3 months each year in Central Asia, to insure AMO is very knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the hunts.
