8-day Alaskan Brown Bear hunt for 1 hunter
Magnusson Alaskan Adventures
Fully guided 8 day Brown Bear hunt on the Alaska Peninsula. Hunters will need to fly into Cold Bay, AK and there are a few options for how to get there from Anchorage. Alaska Airlines flies to Cold Bay from Anchorage on Wednesdays or Saturdays, or you can fly a smaller air taxi from Anchorage to Cold Bay on other days. Feel free to contact outfitter for more information. Plan on spending at least one night before and after the hunt in Cold Bay. From Cold Bay hunters will be flown to camp in a Piper Super Cub. Camps are typically a large 8 man tent for you and your guide (and possible packer) The trophy quality here is High and hunters are encouraged to be harvesting large Boars over 9 feet with possible record book bears. Terrain is mostly low rolling hills, tundra, river/creek beds, alder patches and some beaches. Weather here changes rapidly with rain showers and heavy wind at times but mostly mild temperatures.
