John Banovich is an American artist known Internationally for his large, dramatic portrayals of iconic wildlife. Today Banovich’s work can be found in museums, as well as corporate and private collections around the world. This limited edition Giclée canvas, titled “A Grizzly Encounter,” can best be described by John himself:
“I have had the good fortune of seeing many grizzlies in the wild. One was from a precarious distance of three feet! They are by far our greatest symbol of wild, unspoiled wilderness. Having been eliminated from most of their habitat in the continental US, and now protected, they can still be found in and around Yellowstone and glacier National Parks.
