A unique 19th century American parlor pistol signed “J. Widmer Newark, N.J.”. Measures 12” overall with a 8” round steel barrel and .22 caliber. Brass frame with very short wood stock. The brass is beautiful untouched deepgolden brown. The barrel is deep even age brown. Jacob Widmer was a gun maker in Newark who made Schuetzen rifles and parlor guns from 1866-1878. This model is complete with mechanism and front and rear sights wasdoubtless a special order or a patent model. A fine item for the collector of unique parlor pistols. Est.: $300-$600
