Experience a once in a lifetime hunting adventure in the rugged wilderness of Alberta’s Rocky
Mountains in pursuit of the world-renowned Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. This
hunt is not for the faint of heart, as you explore the breathtaking
surroundings these majestic horned beasts call home. The successful bidder of
this auction will win the opportunity to hunt one minimum 4/5 curl trophy
sheep, in accordance with all provisions of the Wildlife Act and Wildlife
Regulations. This special license is valid during open hunting seasons in all
locations having an open season to hunt sheep, including a special license
trophy sheep draw season as identified in the 2022 Alberta Guide to Hunting
Regulations.
A minimum of 60% of the funds generated by the Minister’s Special License program are automatically
re-invested into projects benefiting Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, with the
remainder being allocated to other worthy conservation projects throughout the
province.
