If you’re looking for extreme spring time black bear hunting action, come bear hunting with us! Our guided spring black bear hunts run for the month of May and produce some of Alberta's biggest trophy spring black bear. This area has been managed as a trophy area for over twenty years. We welcome both rifle and archery hunters. All of our hunting is done from baited stands (it’s your preference to tree stand or ground blind). Alberta is one of the few Canadian provinces where baiting black bears is allowed. Our spring season is the ideal way to get back in the woods after a long winter, and it is when the hair on a bear is over 6 inches long making it an excellent mount.
We target big mature boars in the 6 foot plus range. During your week of spring bear hunting you can expect to see numerous bears, and you have great opportunity for a colored bear. Our area has all the color phases of the black bear species, and we take an astonishing number of colored bears every year! Since we have a 2 bear limit you can double your chance at taking a real trophy black bear. Success rate on the first bear has typically been 100%. Wolf and Coyote will be hunted as animals of opportunity. Expect a very high success rate on excellent bears!
Hunt dates (TBD) 2017 and may be taken in 2018. Hunt Arrival & Departure Point is Edmonton Alberta Canada. License fee: $250. Extra hunters will cost $4,500, non-hunters can be included for $1,000.
