AOUDAD HUNT
Point Blank Hunts
Almost everyone connected to our chapter knows that Joe Jakab the owner of Point Blank Hunts has been among our most loyal donors for 20 years. Joe is once again generously donating to the Midwest Chapter fundraiser a 5-day rifle hunt for one hunter for a Trophy Aoudad or Barbary Sheep. This hunt will take place in the Texas Hill Country near Camp Wood, Texas. Should you choose to fly, you will be picked up at the airport in San Antonio, Texas which is 120 miles from Camp Wood. Our very own Oscar Carlson took this hunt last year and took a large and old ram on this hunt. This hunt is to take place sometime between January and April of 2019 or 2020. Aoudad rams are large and wary animals that can be tough to hunt and kill. Hunting Aoudad is often very physical, but in the “Hill Country” of central Texas the rocky areas the rams inhabit are more moderate in elevation. While escaping the frigid weather so common in February and March in the upper Midwest, you will really enjoy the mild Texas temperatures while hunting. Camp Wood is also special because of the fine Mexican cuisine that is readily available in this Texas village. The cost of your Texas exotic license is only $48 for a five-day license. All meals, lodging and transportation during this hunt are included. Additional hunters can be included at $4500 per hunter.
Value: $4,500.00
