Lightweight & portable take-down semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Manufactured in Meriden, CT. The AR-7 was designed at Armalite by Eugene Stoner, intended for civilian sales as a semi-automatic variant of the AR-5 bolt action rifle that was adopted by the U.S. Air Force. AR-7 Industries manufactured the AR-7 from 1998-2004. Rifle features a satin black finish, steel 16” tapered barrel, knurled take-down nut, raised dovetailed blade front sight, elevation adjustable rear aperture sight, serrated curved trigger, concealed hammer, two-position serrated thumb safety on the right side of the receiver, serrated trigger guard mounted magazine release, accepts detachable 8-round magazines, retractable charging handle, and smooth black synthetic buttstock which all of the components of the rifle fit inside when taken down. The buttstock cover is marked with 'AR-7 EXPLORER'. “AR-7 EXPLOER, MERIDEN, CT” and "AR-7 Explorer" is marked on the right side of the receiver. Rifle will float when stored in the stock. Rifle retains approximately 95% with light edge wear, thinning at the take-down nut, and minor handling wear. Metal displays no deformation, but there are some spots of rust on the barrel. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The plastic furniture is in very good condition with light handling blemishes and material transfers on the grip and butt stock cover. Rifle includes one magazine total.
Condition is NRA Good. Rifle includes a camouflage fabric bag, and two magazines total.
