Argentine Remington Model 1879 Rolling block rifle, Serial Number N/A , Barrel 36 inches, Caliber .43 Spanish manufactured 1879. Produced in large quantities for Argentina and used for many years by their Military and Police forces. The single shot rolling block with blue finished steel and oil finish walnut stocks. Rifle is fitted with saber type bayonet lug and ladder adjustable rear sight. Rear tang is marked with Remington Address. 79 is stamped on trigger guard. Bore is clean, bright and sharp rifling. BIDDING
Bidding advances shall be regulated by the auctioneer and shall be at his discretion. He or she has the right to refuse any bids. Some of the items offered at auction are subject to a reserve. A reserve is a minimum price agreed upon by the consignor of the property and the auction house. The auctioneer may bid on behalf of the consignor in order to reach the minimum sale amount. If the minimum amount is not reached, the auctioneer may pass the item. The auctioneer reserves the right to bid on behalf of clients and vendors, but shall not be liable for errors or omissions in executing instructions to bid.
