REVOLVER. Cal. 45 Colt. S# 110368. Bbl. 4 3/4". Two line Hartford address. Blade front sight. Six shot fluted cylinder. Black powder frame. An ornate revolver with approximately 75% coverage of New York style engraving. Engraving consists of vine type foliate scroll with punch dot backgrounds and straight line borders on frame, barrel and cylinder with matching scroll and highlights continuing to backstrap, top strap, ejector housing, trigger guard, and butt. Nickel finish with case colored hammer and trigger. Two piece ivory grips. Frame, barrel, and grip straps have matching numbers. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Colt factory letter dated Sept. 9, 2020. Factory letter states: "Serial Number: 110368. Caliber: .45/c. Barrel Length: 4 3/4". Finish: Nickel. Type of Stocks: Rubber. Shipped To: John P. Moores Sons. Address: New York, New York. Date of Shipment: February 27, 1885". CONDITION: over 95% nickel finish showing spots of light pitting and having acquired a pleasing light tarnish. Sides of hammer show traces of case colors. Grips are undersized and yellowed with age, showing grain checks with a large chip along back of left panel. Sound mechanics. Bore has a general darkened appearance with areas of light pitting, retaining sound rifling. (01-20262/DS). ANTIQUE. $10,000-15,000.
