ATTRACTIVE UNMARKED KENTUCKY STYLE SWIVEL BREECH

O/U PERCUSSION DOUBLE RIFLE. Cal. 50. NSN. Bbls. 35 1/4" oct. fitted w/ V notch rear & silver front sights. Side ribs are of attractive curly maple & extend to muzzles. Ramrod is through beaded pipes & thimble on one side. Breech section has heavy brass flash guards. Bbls. lock into place w/ spring loaded bolt released by long trigger in front of trigger guard. Back spring lock is unmarked & has rnd. bodied hammer. Pennsylvania style curly maple stock is brass mounted. Rectangular patch box w/ shaped sideplates & pierced finial has release button in shallow crescent buttplate that has brass returns at top extending to comb & bottom extending to trigger guard tang. A swept cheekpiece is carved into left side of stock. CONDTION: bbls. dark brown almost black patina over fairly deep pitting. Lock is similar. Stock has old refinish over numerous marks. Side panels on bbls. appear original except for 2 1/2" replacement wood at rear each side. Lock is operable. Bores rusted. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Gary Parietti. (01-19779/MGM).
