ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44 HRF. S# 32336. Bbl. 24" octagon that appears to be replacement. Sporting front sight with folding leaf rear sight. Full length mag. Brass action with case colored hammer and lever. Replacement forearm and straight grip stock of nicely grained walnut have brass cap and trapdoor buttplate. Serial number indicates 1870 mfg. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 4 piece cleaning rod contained in stock compartment. CONDITION: very fine as restored by Ron Kudro. Bbl. and mag. tube retain over 80% reblued finish showing some fading and faint edge wear. Brass parts exhibit a very pleasing artificial mustard color patina. Hammer and lever have largely faded to brown showing faint traces of colors. Stock set very good finish showing almost no wear or marks. Bright bore retains very good rifling showing a small spot of pitting. (01 – 21717/DS). ANTIQUE. $7,000-10,000.
